What year did you begin attending GBCC and what brought you here
Paula and I moved to Green Bay in 1993 and were looking for a church. Someone recommended GBCC so we went. Joe Urcavich greeted us at the door and didn’t tell us he was the pastor. We were surprised when he got up and gave the message. We loved the teaching and the music. We have been there ever since.
When did you accept Christ. Briefly describe the circumstances:
In 1986 I was at a low point. Nothing was going well. I was aware of Christ’s invitation but had not accepted. As I walked down a street one day, I looked up and asked him to take over my life and I would live for Him.
What energizes you about serving as a Shepherd Elder:
I like meeting people where they are at. I enjoy sitting with a person or a couple and listening to their stories. Sharing the hope of Christ with others when they are vulnerable is humbling.
Free-time activities:
Fishing, hunting, reading, brewing beer.
