Welcome to OWLS - Older, Wiser, Livlier Saints!
OWLS is a new community group that seeks to serve those 50+. We welcome anyone, single or married. Our aim is to build strong relationships through fun, fellowship, and meaningful outreach in our church and in our community.

CONNECT & SERVE

This is a group of adults seeking fellowship, including opportunities to study God's Word, serve others, and socialize together.
Single or married adults looking to connect more, know others, and be known in the church are welcome! During our meeting times we study the Bible and plan our serving and social events. -
MARRIAGE MATTERS
-
Marriage Matters is a weekly meeting for married couples of any age and any season of marriage. It’s designed to give you the time, space and context to strengthen their marriage. Childcare is available through our children's department (only during the school year). Couples can join at any time, but it is encouraged to commit to a series of content that can last approximately 5 weeks. Content will be a curated collection of experts on a variety of topics to dive into the areas that couples need the most.

GBCC SINGLES

Group for single adults that give singles an opportunity to get together as friends, continue to learn about God and have some fun! We are looking to get together two Saturdays a month and one time during the week. You can attend all sessions or come when the topic or activity interests you.

We have classes that range from birth to adult. We start with a meal in the gym and then breakout to your designated groups!
Groups already started for the fall season, but the next round of Wednesday night kids programming, adult classes, and groups will kick off in January 2025, sign ups will open in early December.

Moms together

Moms together is a group of christian Moms coming together to share life, grow friendships and learn together.
The group meets twice a month throughout the Fall and Spring. Moms can also participate in monthly Mom's night out activities and Playdates.
Each Meeting includes brunch, hot coffee, childcare and time of connection with other moms.
Our meetings will be held from 9-10:30am in the GBCC Training Center. Parking in the Chapel lot, enter through door C. -

alpha

We believe everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share their point of view. Alpha is run over the course of 10 weeks and includes food, talks, and conversation.
Alpha begins Wednesday, September 18, 2024 and runs every Wednesday until November 20, 2024 from 6:30-8pm at Station 1 Brewing Co. in Suamico.

-1 Peter 4:10Navigate is a Spiritual matters framework to find your God- given gift. This class helps people understand the Biblical teachings about gifts, and how to discern the spiritual gift you have.

If you'd like to host Navigate in your Community Home or want to bring it into your existing small group, please contact Ben to get you set up. An experienced Navigate coach is needed to facilitate the group discussions.

You can expect real talk on what it’s like to be a woman in various levels and roles of leadership, a safe environment to share your experiences, surrounding yourself with women who want to be in it with you instead of trying to fix it for you, curated content and discussion around topics relevant to our group, time and space to feel your feelings and share them if that’s what you need, and building authentic relationships with women in our community. Weekly attendance is not required, but regular attendance is encouraged to help build trust and safety amongst our group.

8-week Practicing the Way course by John Mark Comer to be a great foundation builder for your faith. It helps you establish a weekly rhythm of learning about the ways of Jesus within a community. You'll practice your own spiritual disciplines and deepen your relationship with God regularly.

Are you looking to experience Archery while growing your faith?
Join us for Centershot. We will learn the basics of archery and end our evening with a devotional. This group is for women 18+Mondays, October 14-December 2 from 6 pm-8 pm in the chapel.
All archery equipment and instruction included as well as a devotional study for $50 in this 8-week league. Maximum number is 16.

WEDNESDAY MORNING WOMENS

This group meets most Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:15 am in the GBCC Chapel. All women are welcome! Studies last about 6 weeks.
Our new study, "The Gospel of John" by Melissa Spoelstra, starts September 25, 2024. This study will help you slow down and embrace the peace Jesus offers. As you read John's Gospel, you'll grow in intimacy with Him and learn to live, serve, and rest in His peace.

MENS thursday NIGHTS

The Thursday night Bible study meets weekly for fellowship, scripture reading, discussion and prayer. We read through different books of the Bible, line by line and the attendees select the books to be studied. The pace of the study is based upon the depth of the discussion. Any and all men are welcome to attend at any time.
This group is currently meeting in person at GBCC in the Fish Tank from 6:30-8:30pm and will continue meeting throughout the year.
