restore retreats update!
We’re excited to share that The Lodge in Weyauwega has officially sold after being on the market for over a year. This space served as a place of peace, laughter, healing, and connection for over three years, and we’re so grateful to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and love to make it what it was. As we close this chapter, we’re dreaming and praying about our future location—something beautiful, peaceful, with access to water and recreation, and ideally within 90 minutes of GBCC. Retreats are continuing strong thanks to five generous GBCC families who have opened their cabin spaces across Wisconsin so we can keep gathering. We’ve learned a lot through this journey and are excited for what’s ahead.
One way you can help right now: We’re currently looking for local storage space for boats and gear. If you have space or know of an option, we’d love to hear from you! Check out upcoming retreat dates, explore ways to get involved, or apply for our part-time Restore Host Coordinator role HERE.
GENEROSITY REPORT
〰️
GENEROSITY REPORT 〰️
Giving is an expression of our gratitude and love for God and others. When we share what we have, we participate in building His kingdom and blessing those around us. As Acts 20:35 says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." At GBCC we strive to live with open hands, reflecting God's heart of generosity in all we do. As we work together to fulfill our mission in Green Bay, we want to keep you regularly informed about our financial journey.
Currently, we are on average approximately $1,000 short of our weekly budget goal. Each week we will inform you of where we stand.
For the week of July 3rd • Total giving was $43,726
As the theologian and bishop Saint Basil of Caesarea once said, "When wealth is scattered in the manner in which our Lord directed, it naturally returns, but when it is gathered it naturally disperses. If you try to keep it, you will not have it: if you scatter it, you will not lose it." When we give, we help build a community rooted in love, kindness, and selflessness, reflecting the very nature of Christ! Thank you for your commitment and passion for reflecting the nature of Christ in our church!
