Baptisms
Scripture teaches that individuals who put their trust in Christ for salvation should be baptized. Baptism signifies union with Jesus Christ, specifically in His death, burial and resurrection. It is our way of telling others we are not our own, that we have been bought with a price and that we have identified with Jesus Christ (Romans 6.1-14, Matthew 28.18-2).
Water baptism is a physical representation of a spiritual truth - that we are no longer dead in sin, but alive in Christ. Being lowered into the water symbolizes the death of our old life and coming out of the water symbolizes our new life in Jesus.
Baptism is also a message to the world that our lives belong to Christ. To be clear, baptism does not give us the gift of salvation, it declares it. Your baptism is important to us and we are honored to lead you through it. We offer baptism at various times throughout the year.
Next Baptism: Sunday, October 22nd | 8am + 10am services

Prayer Service
As we approach the end of the year, we invite you to join as Troy leads us through a special Prayer Service where we will come together to lift our hearts and voices in prayer for our city, country, and world. In these uncertain times, amidst the fears and distractions that surround us, it is crucial to remember the immense power that lies in prayer—power that comes not from our own efforts, but from the Almighty God and who hears and answers every cry for help.
As Oswald Chambers once said, “Prayer does not fit us for the greater works; prayer is the greater work.” Let’s gather with faith, listening to the Holy Spirit, acknowledging God’s goodness and asking Him to respond according to His will. Troy challenge you to set aside other distractions and join me and many others as we come together to experience the supernatural power of prayer, trusting that our God will work mightily through our united voices.
Join us Sunday, December 29, for one service at 8:00 AM. Please note that there will be no 10:00 AM service and no breakfast that morning. There will also be NO children’s programming.
Regular service times, including breakfast, will resume on Sunday, January 5. We look forward to worshiping together!
Bible Reading Plan 2025
As we embark on this new year together, let us remember the profound power and necessity of immersing ourselves in God’s Word, which is essential for our growth as believers. The Scriptures reveal the very character of God—His holiness, faithfulness, grace, and love—and they invite us to imitate Him in our daily lives. Through the Bible, we find direction for our next steps, wisdom to avoid sin, and the renewal of our minds that allows us to discern God’s will.
As we read, we open ourselves to the transformative work of the Holy Spirit, experiencing peace that surpasses understanding and protection from the snares of temptation. Remember, this is not merely an exercise in self-improvement; rather, it is a supernatural encounter with the living God that shapes us into the image of Christ.
As we treasure the glory of the Lord revealed in these pages, we are reminded that our reading is more than a routine—it is a divine invitation to savor His presence and be wholly transformed. Let’s commit to delve into the Scriptures with hearts open to His leading, knowing that through this sacred discipline, God will make our paths straight and lead us closer to Him. Join me and others as we consume on His Word in this reading plan and fuel our spiritual growth together!

Love Your City Network Breakfast Series ft. Chris Chan
Culture Eats Strategy
In today’s competitive landscape, business leaders often emphasize strategy, but it’s culture that truly drives long-term success. At this month’s breakfast, guest speaker Chris Chan will explore why “Culture Eats Strategy” is not just a phrase but a cornerstone for building high-performance teams that thrive. Drawing on his experience leading a team that has stuck together across three companies, he’ll demonstrate how fostering a cohesive, empowering culture is the key to achieving extraordinary results.
Through lessons from Silicon Valley and companies like Yahoo, Splunk and TANDA, we’ll examine how an intentional culture drives innovation, retention, and adaptability. You’ll learn how to build a culture that becomes your strongest asset, one that not only attracts top talent but keeps them engaged and performing at their best.

Splash Class
Is your child asking questions about what it means to follow Jesus or have they made the decision to follow Jesus, but haven't been baptized yet? Then this is the class for you!
In the class, we will discuss the differences between salvation and baptism and will answer questions children may have about what to expect when getting baptized during a service on Sunday morning at GBCC.
Parents are required to attend Splash Class with their child(ren). We will provide some helpful resources for continuing conversations at home and will have staff available for questions after the class as well. Our goal is to help families prepare for baptism and this class is intentionally designed to facilitate conversation between children and parents. We also want to help make sure that children fully understand their decision to get baptized.
Feed My Starving Children
FMSC & GBCC Background:
For the past 11 years, we’ve teamed up with 10 churches in our city to pack meals for Feed My Starving Children. Last year, we reached an incredible milestone - 6 million meals packed! This year, our goal is to raise $150,000 to pack yet another half a million meals.
We will be packing October 7-10 and volunteer registration opens up Sept 1!
Feed My Starving Children Mission:
As a Christian nonprofit organization, Feed My Starving Children is called to feed God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit.
You will hear us say this again and again: “We want to reach everyone, until ALL are fed.” We truly mean this. This means reaching the hard-to-reach people and places, the “least of these.” They will be found, and they will be fed.
With God’s help we will work together with organizations and ministries across the globe to end hunger.
VOLUNTEER:
By volunteering, donating, or fundraising, your generosity makes a huge difference in the lives of thousands of children in need around the world.
At least 6,200 children die each day from hunger-related causes (UNICEF).
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit.

FMSC 5K Run/Walk
THIS IS WHY WE RUN....
Did you know that 6,200 children die every day from hunger related causes?
This is a sad reality and tragedy that is happening EVERY DAY! This is why we run....to help fund the Green Bay MobilePack for Feed My Starving Children. Feed My Starving Children is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The majority of your race registration goes to the food program for our local volunteers to pack the life saving food we call MannaPack Rice. This life saving formula is purchased and hand packed with LOVE by local volunteers and then shipped to mission partners in over 70 countries to feed God’s starving children. At just 29 cents a meal, a race entry fee of $25 is equivalent to 86 manna-pack rice meals!
The Green Bay MobilePack will take place at Green Bay Community Church during the first week of October for the 13th year! Last year we packed an amazing 513,000 meals in just 4 days with 3,124 volunteers! This year we again hope to pack 500,000 meals with more than 2,000 volunteers at a cost of $150,000! Ten local churches sponsor and plan this event each year in partnership with Feed My Starving Children.
Our course is set in beautiful Howard, Wisconsin. The course leaves from the Green Bay Community Church parking lot and takes you through neighborhoods and scenic areas in Howard before returning to the church.
Please consider joining us on Saturday, September 21st for this charitable event!
God Bless,
