children

It is our mission to equip kids with biblical truths that inform their identity and choices as they grow.

Sundays

  • Our youngest children experience God's precious love for them through the nurturing care they receive from our trained volunteers. Children participate in Brite curriculum designed to be simple and fun. Engaging activities, crafts, Bible stories, Bible memorization, and song time are part of the plan to help your child learn biblical truths that inform their identity of God and self, while also shaping their decision making as they grow.

    WHAT SHOULD PARENTS BRING?
    - Disposable diapers and wipes
    - Pacifier or other comfort item
    - Bottle with mixing/heating instructions
    - Please make sure all items are clearly labeled with the child's name

  • (4-5 year olds)

Children learn about the basics of their faith in Jesus Christ using Brite’s curriculum, which is designed to expose them to their good God and His good story. They sing with lots of movement, play games, work on craft projects that encourage creativity, and help them learn biblical truths that inform their understanding of God, the Bible, and themselves.

  • Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade learn how to dive deep into the big story of the Bible - God's plan to rescue His people through His Son, Jesus Christ. Kids actively participate in a time of singing, Bible lessons, activities that reinforce stories from Scripture, and play games to build community. Teaching is age appropriate for development and diverse learning styles. Age groupings are Kinder, 1st and 2nd together & 3rd grade through 5th grade together. Bibles are provided in each room.

Check-In

Check in is available at the children’s welcome center located down the hall from the main lobby. You can check your kid(s) in up to 20 minutes prior to the start of the service. Our welcome team will be there ready to greet you and help with the process!

beyond sunday

  • Winding Wednesdays is a fun place for children on Wednesday nights to interact with friends and God’s Word. We wind up with group games, rewind our weeks in group discussion, unwind our minds from the world's and cling to God's truth, and wind down with prayer before going home.

  • Spend 6 weeks connecting with others that share similar goals, ponder Bible verses related to parenting, and discuss ideas on how to infuse Christ in our daily lives. GBCC will gift you Justin Earley's book, Habits of the Household, as our launching point for each night's discussion.

  • Vacation Bible School is a celebration for kids hosted each spring at Community Church. Kids learn how much their heavenly Father loves them through high-energy music, crafts, games and Bible stories.

Our Spring VBS will be on Wednesday nights, April 8, 15, 22, & 29. Registration begins in 2026.

UPCOMING EVENTS

  • Splash Class

Is your child asking questions about what it means to follow Jesus or have they made the decision to follow Jesus, but haven't been baptized yet?
