Baptisims

  • Green Bay Community Church 600 Cardinal Lane Green Bay United States (map)

Scripture teaches that individuals who put their trust in Christ for salvation should be baptized. Baptism signifies union with Jesus Christ, specifically in His death, burial and resurrection. It is our way of telling others we are not our own, that we have been bought with a price and that we have identified with Jesus Christ (Romans 6.1-14, Matthew 28.18-2).

Water baptism is a physical representation of a spiritual truth - that we are no longer dead in sin, but alive in Christ. Being lowered into the water symbolizes the death of our old life and coming out of the water symbolizes our new life in Jesus.

Baptism is also a message to the world that our lives belong to Christ. To be clear, baptism does not give us the gift of salvation, it declares it. Your baptism is important to us and we are honored to lead you through it.

Baptism for children 5 years old through 5th grade will be on Sunday, June 7 during both the 8am and 10am services in the Cave. Chat with our Children's staff about baptism for kids at GBCC at the next Splash Class on Sunday, May 31, 11:30am-12pm.
