africa partnerships!

Missions

We have four different ways we partner and do missions in africa! see all the ways to be involved in african missions.

zambian leadership farm

  • The Leadership Farm is a leadership development primary school located in Lusaka, Zambia. GBCC is partnering with The Leadership Farm to host 5-10 newly graduated Zambian students in Green Bay, WI for 10 weeks. Volunteer host families in the Green Bay area are invited to provide a healthy, respectful, and purpose-aligned environment for Zambian student interns to live. The goal is not only offering them hospitality, but partnership in leadership development, cultural exchange, and biblical formation of each intern to prepare them for future leadership influence of Zambia.

This is a pilot program for GBCC, so there is much we are learning and still shaping as it develops. Your participation and help would make this initial experience for Zambian students so awesome. Thank you for considering being a host family!

  • ·      Student Ages: 18–20 y/o. Each student will have recently graduated primary school and are awaiting University classes to start this fall.

    ·      Students would intern 30 + hours a week, so they will probably out of your home most week daytimes.

  • ·      Complete a Family Host Application found below.

    ·      Complete Family Host training provided by GBCC (Will schedule after applications are received)

    ·      Hosts would open their homes for basic lodging, meals and some transportation for the student to their internship locations.

    ·      Provide a safe, loving, stable home environment to Zambian student(s)

    ·      The students would be invited to join in your family activities but also have the option to be alone and private space.

    ·      Homes would need to have private living quarters (lockable room) for each student.

    ·      Model healthy family life and Christian character within conflict, communication and responsibility

    ·      Offer guidance, accountability, and cultural explanation, with a LOT of grace

    ·      Support (not control) the student’s growth and independence

    ·      Key Principle: Host families are partners, not directors or saviors for the students.

  • The Zambia Student Leadership Internship is a short-term, part-time internship program directed by Green Bay Community Church. This internship is designed to immerse Zambian students (ages 18–20) in real-world career environments within businesses and nonprofit organizations in the Green Bay area.. Host organizations play a vital role by providing hands-on exposure, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities that students can take back to Zambia to strengthen their communities.

Access International Church - zambia

Access International Church is a network of churches throughout South East Africa committed to sharing the gospel and church planting in every nation. If you are interested in supporting pastors from indigenous tribes to preach, pastor and lead in their local tribes and languages, consider sponsoring a week-long training. Or, is you have a Masters degree in biblical / pastoral studies, consider coming on a trip as a guest lecturer. Pastors gather quarterly for biblical training, pastoral development and fellowship with other indigenous pastors. We will continue our partnership with AIC to teach, support and encourage these pastors to carry out the work of their calling in local contexts. Please contact Ben Lenz at bottom of this page for more information on trips or sponsoring a training week
