Al Dummer is retired and originally from Holmen, Wisconsin. He and his wife, Laurie, have been married since 1982 and have three children: Ben, Kayla, and Ryan. Al and Laurie began attending Green Bay Community Church in 2021.

Raised in a strict Catholic household, Al learned the fundamentals of Christianity at an early age but did not develop a personal relationship with Jesus until after getting married and attending a Christian church. During a difficult season following a miscarriage, their pastor came to pray with them, and Al's heart opened to receiving the free gift of salvation through Jesus. This experience marked a significant turning point in his faith.

Al has always gravitated toward leadership roles in business, church, and family life. Serving as a Shepherd Elder provides him with a sense of fulfillment and an opportunity to contribute to something meaningful.

In his free time, Al enjoys biking, golfing, grilling, smoking and cooking, and, of course, eating the food he makes.
