Morgan Haltom
Hospitality Director
Growing up in Commerce Township, Michigan, Morgan was raised in a Christian home and attended a non-denominational church where she always sensed God’s presence in her life. However, it wasn’t until January of 2022 that she fully surrendered her life to Jesus. After walking through a difficult season marked by loss, grief, and the unexpected passing of her father in 2021, she was drawn back to her faith and began searching for a new church home—ultimately finding community at Green Bay Community Church. Morgan was baptized in July of 2023 and has continued growing in her relationship with Christ ever since.
Morgan has been married to her husband, Sam Haltom, for two years, and together they have one daughter, Ada Joy. Outside of work, she enjoys trying new restaurants, watching sports (especially cheering on the Detroit Lions), finding live music, hiking, spending time on the water, and working out.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, finance, and political science from Mercyhurst University, as well as an MBA from Aurora University. What excites Morgan most about serving in the hospitality role at GBCC is the opportunity to help create a welcoming first impression for every person who walks through the doors. Whether someone has followed Jesus for years or is stepping into a church for the very first time, she is passionate about helping people feel seen, welcomed, and wanted.
After completing Navigate, Morgan discovered her spiritual gift is leadership. She feels especially called to use her strategic thinking, networking abilities, and problem-solving skills to strengthen the hospitality ministry. As a former college hockey coach, she is also passionate about building healthy, effective teams where people feel known, valued, and empowered to become who God created them to be.
One of Morgan’s favorite Bible verses is 2 Timothy 1:7: “For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.”
