THIS SUNDAY’S MESSAGE
This Sunday we are continuing in our four-week series that walks through four Old Testament narratives — not as distant religious history, but as God's own previews of the cross. This week we will be in Exodus 12:1-13. Bring your Bible and join us at 8am & 10am and hot breakfast at 9am! Watching online? We stream our 10am message live - find here! GOOD FRIDAY: SHOE DONATION!
We are preparing a special art installation for our Good Friday service and are looking to collect 300 pairs of shoes. If you are able to help, we are specifically looking for shoes that are:
• New or gently used
• White, cream, or another light color
• Closed-toed
The shoes will not be returned, so please only donate pairs you are comfortable leaving behind. Shoes can be dropped off in the designated collection area in the lobby, deadline for donations is March 26. Thank you for helping create a meaningful visual element for our Good Friday service.
NEW GROUP: WOMEN MENTORING WOMEN
Building a multigenerational community of women who grow in Christlikeness through intentional, biblical friendships. "Older women...teaching what is good. In this way they train the younger women." --Titus 2:2-5.
Older women are matched with younger women for a 3 month period. We will kick off a 9 month program beginning September 2026 as a source of encouragement, support, guidance and love. This is not a substitute for in-depth counseling, but an opportunity to form a relationship to encourage spiritual maturity, practical wisdom, and deeper relationships with God and others. Pairs will commit to meet in person once a month and by phone or Facetime weekly. Learn more here.
The Trust Problem Nobody’s Talking About
Every leader in Green Bay is dealing with it — the employee who says “yes” in the meeting and does nothing, the volunteer who’s checked out, the resident who’s stopped believing anything will change — and most of us have no idea we’re the ones who created it. On Thursday, March 19, the Love Your City leadership breakfast will tackle the trust deficit head-on: what destroys it without you realizing it, why your best initiatives keep stalling, and the one honest conversation this week that could start reversing it. Whether you lead a business, a nonprofit, a school, or a city department, you’ll leave with a clear-eyed diagnosis and three measurable steps you can take before the month is out. Learn more and get your tickets here!
young adults march event!
Join us for a fun competition of pickleball! To beat the winter we will be at Four Seasons on Sunday, March 29th from 1pm-3pm! You can either compete in a little competition with a partner for a prize, or have open free play if you’re not the competitive type! Cost is $12 per person! Please sign up here and invite your friends!
good friday: even them.
Join us for Good Friday as we reflect on Jesus’ grace and mercy revealed through His death and resurrection—a love that makes space for everyone. We invite you to consider what this way of living looks like in your own life at one of our Good Friday services at 12:00pm, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, or 6:00pm. Please RSVP using the link below, as space is limited. Children’s programming for kindergarten and under will be available during the 1:30pm and 4:30pm services. RSVP HERE.
Easter: so be it God
If you have ever watched a judge close a court hearing, you have likely heard the words “so ordered”—a declaration that turns a ruling into enforceable reality. When Jesus hung on the cross and declared “It is finished,” He was not only physically dying; He was declaring before all creation that sin, guilt, and shame had lost their case against you. Join us this Easter as we celebrate the sacrificial act of Jesus and discover why we can finally say, “so be it, God.” We will gather for services at 8am, 9:30am, and 11am. Children’s programming will be available during the 8:00am and 9:30am services only.
baptisms this easter
Scripture teaches that individuals who put their trust in Christ for salvation should be baptized. Baptism signifies union with Jesus Christ, specifically in His death, burial and resurrection. It is our way of telling others we are not our own, that we have been bought with a price and that we have identified with Jesus Christ (Romans 6.1-14, Matthew 28.18-2). Your baptism is important to us and we are honored to lead you through it. Our next baptisms will take place Easter Sunday, April 5th at all services!
There will not be impromptu baptisms for children 5th grade and under. If you have questions or have interest contact childrens@gbcc.me.
WE ARE HIRING!
We’re excited to share that GBCC is growing—and we’re hiring! We currently have open positions and are looking for passionate, organized, and team-minded individuals to join our staff.
Positions available include:
Hospitality Director – This position is responsible for recruiting, training, leading, and developing the hospitality volunteer teams in their efforts to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere to everyone who enters the doors of GBCC.
Facilities Lead — The Facilities Lead ensures a clean, safe environment at Community by handling maintenance, repairs, custodial tasks, inventory, event setup, and rental support. This role works with the Facilities Team—including occasional early or late shifts—to complete tasks, develop volunteer teams, and assist with facility projects as needed.
If you—or someone you know—might be a great fit, we’d love to connect. Learn more about these roles or apply here.
CONNECT TO COMMUNITY
Join us for Connect to Community, on the first Sunday of each month. This gathering is free to attend and a great first step in getting to know GBCC. Join us from 10am–11am in the Church Office Area. Come a little early and enjoy breakfast! You’ll meet some of our pastors, elders, and staff, get a simple overview of who we are as a church, and learn how you can get involved. We’ll also answer any questions you may have. Our hope is that you’ll meet new friends, catch a clear picture of our beliefs, and discover real ways to connect.
Connect to Community will not meet in April due to Easter, the next date is May 3! Sign up here.
WEEKLY GENEROSITY REPORT
Giving regularly is a way to express our love and trust in God's provision. It's not about the amount given, but the intention and heart behind it. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, "Let each one give thoughtfully and with purpose just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift."
As we work together to fulfill our mission in Green Bay, we want to keep you more regularly informed about our financial journey. Each week we will inform you of where we stand. For the week of March 5th • Total giving was 60,799
Thank you for your commitment and passion for our church! Your prayers and contributions truly make a difference in advancing our mission and serving our community!
