HERE’S YOUR WEEKLY OVERVIEW OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AT COMMUNITY CHURCH + IN THE COMMUNITY!

highlight of the week: easter!

If you have ever watched a judge close a court hearing, you have likely heard the words “so ordered”—a declaration that turns a ruling into enforceable reality. When Jesus hung on the cross and declared “It is finished,” He was not only physically dying; He was declaring before all creation that sin, guilt, and shame had lost their case against you. Join us this Easter as we celebrate the sacrificial act of Jesus and discover why we can finally say, “so be it, God.” We will gather for services at 8am, 9:30am, and 11am.

Children’s programming will be available during the 8:00am and 9:30am services only. There will be no breakfast Easter morning! Want to serve with us this Easter? Find more info here along with the Easter setlist to get familiar with the songs.

THIS SUNDAY’S MESSAGE

This Sunday we are wrapping up in our series that walks through Old Testament narratives — not as distant religious history, but as God's own previews of the cross. Bring your Bible and join us at 8am & 10am and hot breakfast at 9am! Watching online? We stream our 10am message live - find here! Watching after service is over? Find message here.

NAVIGATE: DISCOVER YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFT

Navigate is a course designed to walk you through a biblical understanding of the spiritual gifts found in Scripture, using the framework Paul gives in Romans, Ephesians, and 1 Corinthians. Together, we’ll explore what these gifts are—and what they are not—while also providing real-time feedback to help you recognize where spiritual fruit is (and isn’t) showing up in your life. The goal of Navigate is to help you gain clarity on your unique, God-given design so you can confidently live it out. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to better identify your spiritual gift, understand how to use it effectively, and discover meaningful ways to get connected and serve within the church. Join us at GBCC for this one-day, condensed version of our 8-week group and take the next step in discovering your spiritual gift. Navigate will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 9am–4pm at GBCC in The Spring. Learn more and sign up here.

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE

Join us at our annual Sunrise Service this year! Each year we gather early on the morning of Easter to celebrate our Risen King teaching through John 11:17-44! We will worship, hear a short message and take communion, all while watching the sunrise. Grab your blanket, chair, a jacket and meet us at Howard Commons at 6:30am on Easter Sunday!

baptisms this easter

Scripture teaches that individuals who put their trust in Christ for salvation should be baptized. Baptism signifies union with Jesus Christ, specifically in His death, burial and resurrection. It is our way of telling others we are not our own, that we have been bought with a price and that we have identified with Jesus Christ (Romans 6.1-14, Matthew 28.18-2). Your baptism is important to us and we are honored to lead you through it. Our next baptisms will take place Easter Sunday, April 5th at all services!

There will not be impromptu baptisms for children 5th grade and under. If you have questions or have interest contact childrens@gbcc.me.

Come a little early and enjoy breakfast! You’ll meet some of our pastors, elders, and staff, get a simple overview of who we are as a church, and learn how you can get involved. We’ll also answer any questions you may have. Our hope is that you’ll meet new friends, catch a clear picture of our beliefs, and discover real ways to connect.

Due to Easter, we will have Connect to Community on April 12 — Sign up here.

WEEKLY GENEROSITY REPORT

Giving is the intentional spiritual practice of sharing one's resources, time and talents with others, motivated by love and obedience to God. This practice recognizes that all we have comes from God and serves as an expression of faith and gratitude. It fosters generosity and selflessness, benefiting both the giver and the recipient while reflecting God's heart in caring for others. As we work together to fulfill our mission in Green Bay, we want to keep you regularly informed about our financial journey. Each week we will inform you of where we stand.

For the week of March 19th • Total giving was $38,368—about $100 below our target.

Would you join us in praying for hearts to be opened to generosity within our community? As the German priest and theologian Martin Luther once said, “I have held many things in my hand, and have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God’s hands that I still possess.” Thank you for your commitment and passion for our church!
