Weekly Newsletter — April 2, 2026
HERE’S YOUR WEEKLY OVERVIEW OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AT COMMUNITY CHURCH + IN THE COMMUNITY!
highlight of the week: rsvp for good Friday tomorrow!
Join us for Good Friday as we reflect on Jesus’ grace and mercy revealed through His death and resurrection—a love that makes space for everyone. We invite you to consider what this way of living looks like in your own life at one of our Good Friday services at 12:00pm, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, or 6:00pm. Please RSVP using the link below, as space is limited. Children’s programming for kindergarten and under will be available during the 1:30pm and 4:30pm services. RSVP HERE.
THIS SUNDAY’S MESSAGE - easter sunday!
If you have ever watched a judge close a court hearing, you have likely heard the words “so ordered”—a declaration that turns a ruling into enforceable reality. When Jesus hung on the cross and declared “It is finished,” He was not only physically dying; He was declaring before all creation that sin, guilt, and shame had lost their case against you. Join us this Easter as we celebrate the sacrificial act of Jesus and discover why we can finally say, “so be it, God.” We will gather for services at 8am, 9:30am, and 11am.
Children’s programming will be available during the 8:00am and 9:30am services only. There will be no breakfast Easter morning! Want to serve with us this Easter? Find more info here along with the Easter setlist to get familiar with the songs.
If you are watching online, only our 9:30am service will be streamed!

NAVIGATE: DISCOVER YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFT
Navigate is a course designed to walk you through a biblical understanding of the spiritual gifts found in Scripture, using the framework Paul gives in Romans, Ephesians, and 1 Corinthians. Together, we’ll explore what these gifts are—and what they are not—while also providing real-time feedback to help you recognize where spiritual fruit is (and isn’t) showing up in your life. The goal of Navigate is to help you gain clarity on your unique, God-given design so you can confidently live it out. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to better identify your spiritual gift, understand how to use it effectively, and discover meaningful ways to get connected and serve within the church. Join us at GBCC for this one-day, condensed version of our 8-week group and take the next step in discovering your spiritual gift. Navigate will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 9am–4pm at GBCC in The Spring. Learn more and sign up here.
CELEBRATING MARCH’S GIVING TREE IMPACT!
This March, The Giving Tree Food Pantry served 173 families, distributed 7,442 pounds of food, and was supported by 175 volunteer hours! Each meal provided and every hour served reflects the compassion of our community—thank you for helping us love and care for our neighbors in such meaningful ways!
EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE
Join us at our annual Sunrise Service this year! Each year we gather early on the morning of Easter to celebrate our Risen King teaching through John 11:17-44! We will worship, hear a short message and take communion, all while watching the sunrise. Grab your blanket, chair, a jacket and meet us at Howard Commons at 6:30am on Easter Sunday! Lyrics will be available by scanning a QR code at service or clicking here.
baptisms this sunday!
Scripture teaches that individuals who put their trust in Christ for salvation should be baptized. Baptism signifies union with Jesus Christ, specifically in His death, burial and resurrection. It is our way of telling others we are not our own, that we have been bought with a price and that we have identified with Jesus Christ (Romans 6.1-14, Matthew 28.18-2). Your baptism is important to us and we are honored to lead you through it. Our next baptisms will take place Easter Sunday, April 5th at all services!
There will not be impromptu baptisms for children 5th grade and under. If you have questions or have interest contact childrens@gbcc.me.
WHAT COMES NEXT?
Easter changes everything—and this three-week experience is a simple place to begin the journey. Whether you’re curious, exploring, or just starting to follow Jesus, you’re invited to join us for three relaxed Wednesday evenings (April 22–May 6, 6:30–8:15pm) at Station 1 Brewing Co. in Suamico. Each night includes a light meal, a short video or talk, and open, honest small group conversation—no pressure and no prior knowledge needed. There’s no cost, and it’s especially designed for anyone who came to Easter and wants to explore what faith might mean for them. Come as you are—with questions, doubts, or just curiosity. RSVP HERE.

WEEKLY GENEROSITY REPORT
Giving regularly is a way to express our love and trust in God's provision. It's not about the amount given, but the intention and heart behind it. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, "Let each one give thoughtfully and with purpose just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift."
As we work together to fulfill our mission in Green Bay, we want to keep you regularly informed about our financial journey.
Each week we will inform you of where we stand. For the week of March 26th • Total giving was $35,074 -- about $3,400 below our target Thank you for your commitment and passion for our church! Your prayers and contributions truly make a difference in advancing our mission and serving our community!
