HERE’S YOUR WEEKLY OVERVIEW OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AT COMMUNITY CHURCH + IN THE COMMUNITY!

highlight of the week: love your city is back for the fall!

Looking for a way to connect with other leaders in our community and grow in your ability to make a difference? The Love Your City Breakfast is a monthly gathering where leaders from across Green Bay come together over breakfast to connect, learn from one another, and explore how we can collectively make our city better. Each gathering centers around a relevant leadership topic and an honest conversation—not a lecture. And while it's called a leadership breakfast, it's not just for pastors, business owners, or people with a title. If you care about our community, want to grow in your influence, and desire to help love our city well, you're invited.

First gathering is Thursday, September 17 at 7:30am at Fire & Fir Event Hall.

We'd love for you to join us as we learn, connect, and discover ways to make a greater impact together. Get tickets here!

THIS SUNDAY’S MESSAGE

Join us this Sunday at 8am and 10am as we kick off a new series called “On This Rock”! Bring your bibles, invite a friend and come ready to worship. Reminder that hot breakfast is back this fall.

FMSC CHILDREN’S COLOR RUN

Kids are helping raise awareness and money for Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in a fun way!  Come to GBCC on Friday, September 18, and join us for our first Kids Color Run in hopes of bringing nourishing food to more children. Wear as much white as you can and prepare to have fun and get messy! $5/participant, registration closes one week before the race. Learn more and register here.

GO BEHIND THE PACK!

The FMSC MobilePack needs more than meal packers—it takes a special behind-the-scenes team to make it all happen! GBCC attenders are invited to help with unloading, setup, equipment washing, session support, staff meals and takedown. Choose a role and get an inside look at what it takes to bring the Pack to life! Learn more and sign up to serve here.

DISCIPLE KIDS ON SUNDAYS!

We invite you to invest in our kids at the 10am service as part of our Community Kids team. We'll give you the tools, you offer kids your time, and together we can help shape their experience of God and His church. Won't you tell these kids about how awesome our God is? Learn more and connect with us here.

5K for a cause!

Every day, thousands of children around the world die from hunger-related causes. That's why we run. Join us on Saturday, September 19 for the Green Bay MobilePack 5K Run/Walk and help support this year's Feed My Starving Children MobilePack. Every registration helps provide life-saving meals to children in need—with just $30 providing over 100 meals.

This October, our community will gather for the 14th annual MobilePack with a goal of funding and packing 650,000 meals. Last year, more than 3,300 volunteers packed over 676,000 meals in just four days! Whether you're running, walking, or cheering others on, your participation makes a difference. Register today and help bring hope—one meal at a time.

SPLASH CLASS

Is your child asking questions about what it means to follow Jesus or have they made the decision to follow Jesus, but haven't been baptized yet? Our goal is to help families prepare for baptism and this class is intentionally designed to facilitate conversation between children and parents. We also want to help make sure that children fully understand their decision to get baptized.

Children’s baptisms will take place following Splash Class on Sunday, October 11 during both services.

Sunday, September 27 following 10am service in The Cave. Learn more here.

WEEKLY GENEROSITY REPORT

At GBCC, we see giving not just as a responsibility but as a joyful opportunity to demonstrate our love and obedience to God.
In Hebrews, giving is listed as an act of worship to the Lord. In chapter 13 verses 15-16 it says, "Through Him, therefore, let us at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name. Do not neglect to do good, to contribute [to the needy of the church as an expression of fellowship], for such sacrifices are always pleasing to God."
As we work together to fulfill our mission in Green Bay, we want to keep you regularly informed about our financial journey.

Each week we will inform you of where we stand. For the week of ending September 2:
• Total giving was $3,476—this smaller amount is due to the closing of the fiscal year. It is $36,909 below our target goal.
In the coming months, we are praying that God will raise up new regular givers to join us in supporting the important work of the Kingdom here in Green Bay. Your contributions truly make a difference in advancing our mission and serving our community! The evangelist Billy Graham once said, “God has given us two hands, one to receive with and the other to give with.” Would you join us in praying for hands and hearts to be opened to generosity within our community?

Thank you for your commitment and passion for our church!
