HERE’S YOUR WEEKLY OVERVIEW OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AT COMMUNITY CHURCH + IN THE COMMUNITY!

highlight of the week: No in-person gathering this sunday

This weekend, we have our last Neighborhood Gathering of the season! Instead of gathering under one roof, we’re asking our GBCC church family to be the church in their neighborhoods — hosting or attending a Neighborhood Gathering right where they live. We will provide a teaching video to anchor your time together, but the real win is the conversations, connections, and relationships that happen with the people next door. We will also have conversation questions for after the message.

Find message and discussion questions here! When you gather, snap a picture and share with us! You can tag us on Facebook or Instagram or send a picture to social@gbcc.me - we’d love to see how you gather!

The Forge - Wednesday, September 9 - Discipleship and Your Soul

Our new Wednesday night rhythm kicks off next Wednesday, September 9. Alpha: Curious about faith?

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to explore the Christian faith, ask questions, and share their point of view. Alpha is an 11-week experience designed to create open and honest conversations around life’s biggest questions. Each Wednesday night, we’ll explore a different topic related to faith in a welcoming and relaxed environment. Alpha is not a Bible study—it’s simply a space to discuss, listen, and explore together.

Our next Alpha group runs September 9–November 18 and meets Wednesdays from 6:30pm–8:15pm. Whether you’re new to faith, returning to church, or simply curious, Alpha is a great place to start. Free to attend - sign up here!

Love your city is back this month!

Looking for a way to connect with other leaders in our community and grow in your ability to make a difference? The Love Your City Breakfast is a monthly gathering where leaders from across Green Bay come together over breakfast to connect, learn from one another, and explore how we can collectively make our city better. Each gathering centers around a relevant leadership topic and an honest conversation—not a lecture. And while it's called a leadership breakfast, it's not just for pastors, business owners, or people with a title. If you care about our community, want to grow in your influence, and desire to help love our city well, you're invited. First gathering is Thursday, September 17 at 7:30am at Fire & Fir Event Hall.

We'd love for you to join us as we learn, connect, and discover ways to make a greater impact together. Get tickets here!

5K with a purpose!

Every day, thousands of children around the world die from hunger-related causes. That's why we run. Join us on Saturday, September 19 for the Green Bay MobilePack 5K Run/Walk and help support this year's Feed My Starving Children MobilePack. Every registration helps provide life-saving meals to children in need—with just $30 providing over 100 meals.

This October, our community will gather for the 14th annual MobilePack with a goal of funding and packing 801,000 meals. Last year, more than 3,300 volunteers packed over 676,000 meals in just four days! Whether you're running, walking, or cheering others on, your participation makes a difference. Register today and help bring hope—one meal at a time.

WEEKLY GENEROSITY REPORT

We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing generosity and support!
Did you know that only 5-10% of active churchgoers in the U.S. regularly tithe? At GBCC, we see giving not just as a responsibility but as a joyful opportunity to demonstrate our love and obedience to God. We truly believe we don’t give to receive; we GET to give!
In Acts 2, we see a powerful example of community generosity: “All the believers met together… and shared everything they had… praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people.” This is the spirit we strive to cultivate within our church.

As we work together to fulfill our mission, we want to keep you regularly informed about our financial journey. Each week we will inform you of where we stand. For the week ending August 28:
• Total giving was $32,920—about $5,542 below our target.
In the coming months, we are praying that God will raise up new regular givers to join us in supporting the important work of the Kingdom here in Green Bay. John Wesley described money as “an excellent gift of God, answering the noblest ends.” Would you join us in praying for hearts to be opened to generosity within our community?
Thank you for your commitment and passion for our church. Your contributions truly make a difference in advancing our mission and serving our community!
