Weekly Newsletter — August 20, 2026
HERE’S YOUR WEEKLY OVERVIEW OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AT COMMUNITY CHURCH + IN THE COMMUNITY!
highlight of the week: Curious about faith? try alpha!
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to explore the Christian faith, ask questions, and share their point of view. Alpha is an 11-week experience designed to create open and honest conversations around life’s biggest questions. Each Wednesday night, we’ll explore a different topic related to faith in a welcoming and relaxed environment. Alpha is not a Bible study—it’s simply a space to discuss, listen, and explore together.
Our next Alpha group runs September 9–November 18 and meets Wednesdays from 6:30pm–8:15pm. Whether you’re new to faith, returning to church, or simply curious, Alpha is a great place to start. Sign up at gbcc.me/alpha

neighborhood gathering september
On Labor Day Weekend, we are doing another Neighborhood Gathering! Instead of gathering under one roof, we’re asking our GBCC church family to be the church in their neighborhoods — hosting or attending a Neighborhood Gathering right where they live. We will provide a teaching video to anchor your time together, but the real win is the conversations, connections, and relationships that happen with the people next door. We will also have conversation questions for after the message.
Learn more about neighborhood gatherings here. When you gather, snap a picture and share with us! You can tag us on Facebook or Instagram or send a picture to social@gbcc.me - we’d love to see how you gather!
WEEKLY GENEROSITY REPORT
Giving regularly is a way to express our love and trust in God's provision. It's not about the amount given, but the intention and heart behind it. 2 Corinthians 9:7 says, "Let each one give thoughtfully and with purpose just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift."
As we work together to fulfill our mission in Green Bay, we want to keep you regularly informed about our financial journey. Each week we will inform you of where we stand.
For the week ending August 12: Total giving was $ 23,645 - about $14,817 below our target. Thank you for your commitment and passion for our church! Your prayers and contributions truly make a difference in advancing our mission and serving our community!
